Hello everyone.
I'm new to growing veg, so thought I'd join this forum so that I can learn from experienced growers.
I live in South East Scotland and have a small back garden, 5m x 8m, where I'm hoping to grow my own veg. I've never grown any before so this is my first year. I bought some seed yesterday - peas, carrots, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, cherry tomatoes and onions.
I don't have a greenhouse (yet), but do have a couple of those plastic mini growhouses and a small 2m x 3m polytunnel.
I'm looking forward to learning from everyone on here

Hello Suzie & welcome to the Jungle. What variety Cucumbers & Tomatoes have you got as some can be grown outdoors while others prefer being undercover so your PT may be needed for those. You could put all your Brassicas in one bed & net the lot from the dreaded butterflies as they will lay their eggs on them & your plants will get ravaged by caterpillars. Peas can be grown up netting, again depends on the variety as some grow to around 2 ft high & some 6ft. Have a look at the Square Foot Gardening Thread. I always suggest giving it a go especially to new growers as you can try different crops & see what works with your growing condition........Anyways less of my ramblings, have a good season & hope you get loads of crops...............P.S Keep your eye out for the nutters, there are one or two on here but I'll point them out if you need any help.........

I'm a back-garden veggie grower, too. I have a GH which I'm slowly filling with lots of lovely new shoots!
Just finishing off my 'plot' and hopefully will be planting out within the next couple of weeks, once soil has warmed
