    I had planned to stick the water butt at the other end of the garden to get the run off from the workshop.
    There'll be a 20ft span of roof to catch water from

        Hi Paul, exciting times ahead in your new garden!
        Your soil does look clayey (is that a word?) mine is here, too.
        I've added plenty of cow manure and many barrow loads of homemade garden compost, dug it all in and hoping that I get some decent results!
        All that is needed now is for it to warm up a little!
        Enjoy your planning and don't forget the before/after pics!!

          I'm a bit of a forum addict and enjoy sharing pics!
          Hopefully I'll have something to share as the summer goes on.
          Not so many cows locally but plenty of horses, I'm hoping their doings will suffice.

          I shall ask my neighbourhood friend to see what he can muster up
