  • this year I will grow something

So after giving up waiting for an allotment in kent I have started a small veg patch in the garden that I will expand next year.

It's nothing much but it's a start got some Brussels, toms, leeks, carrotts and some parsnips on the go.

Then my wife brought me one of those plastic greenhouses from a highstreet shop so I treated myself to some chillies and pepper plants.

Now I must admit that everything apart from runners was bought as plugs this year as it was a bit late to start from seed and I'm super busy aswell.

Been lurking for a few weeks but thought I would dip my toe and say Hi as you all seem a friendly bunch

I expect you'll get your veggie patch just how you want it and the phone will ring...

Hello and welcome, and this year you will certainly be growing something. Nowt wrong with plug plants if you are too late to sow your own. Just think of what you will harvesting in a couple of months. Have you got a bed where you can sow quick crops like beetroot, radish, cut and come again salad?
