Hello and welcome from me too.
I've managed (smallish) watermelons outside in South London, but greenhouse melons have always failed me. Not that I'm going to give up trying!http://mudandgluts.com - growing fruit and veg in suburbia

I hear its alway "sun-shiny" in South Wales so I think you'll be ok with your melons.
I managed to grow a few last year in an unheated greenhouse - I'm a little south of you so maybe a little warmer, but you will probably manage ok just might need to give them a little protection.
Anyhow, welcome along - lots of good advice here.sigpic
