I posted my question in totally the wrong place but I'm glad I did because I got to meet a whole bunch of really cool, very helpful peeps.

My husband and I live in a tiny village in Wales, on top of a small mountain. He plays classical guitar and I write & drawr stuff. We moved here to get away from noise/nightmare neighbours. I've been looking for our new home for about forty-two years (yes, I'm a newly minted OAP).

What a great website. I wish I'd found it before I bought the wrong gardening books. Though Dr Hessalyn's, though dated, is quite funny in places.

I love flowers (sweet peas especially), but I love vegetables more. I even dream about them.

Its great being an OAP - you can get away with doing daft things and people excuse you because of your age

That just means hopefully you have longer to live than the rest of us.

Trust me as you watch the conveyor belt of life moving forward and then notice that more and more people that were stacked up in front of you are suddenly disappearing and you find yourself attending more and more funerals then suddenly "what's that?"

Blimey its the edge of the blinking conveyor belt and start trying to walk backwards, but you can't because all the younger ones that are stacked behind you.

Scary ain't it !

So enjoy each day as if it's your last because one day IT WILL BE !
