Hi Gordon, I'm on the coast in Angus, what's your soil like?

      Thanks for the replies!

I'm in dumfriesshire. Planning on tomatoes, courgettes and a couple of chilies. It's only a 6 x 8 so won't be that much room. Soil in garden is generally poor and clay but have made a couple of decent sized raised beds a few years ago and brought in soil so fine for potatoes and the like.

Will post a couple of photos once I get greenhouse up!

I'm over here in Wigtownshire. Still officially in Glasgow until hose sale completed.

Morning Gordon, and welcome! I'm on the east coast of the Highlands. Long time since I've been to Dumfriesshire, do you have lots of trees around you?

Croeso, Gordon, as we say in Wales: welcome!

This site is brilliant for asking questions, everyone is so patient and helpful.

I've only got one year's experience under my belt but living on a windy mountain-top in Wales I'm gardening under similar conditions, so will watch how you get on!

                    Best,
                    Aunty
