Hi Greekmaiden. Welcome, we are one year in to our allotment journey having got ours a year ago last weekend.

I’d echo what others have said take plenty of before and during photos as when you have those times when you think ‘why does everyone else’s look so perfect, how am I ever going to get this sorted as mine is a mess’ or when something fails to grow/gets eaten by something other than you you can look back and realise how far you have come.

Wow thank you all for such a great welcome.

Sorry for not popping in yesterday, life got in the way (grandchildren, shopping, visiting).

Well I have confirmed with the council that I am happy to take the plot and am waiting for more information on which plot will be ours. But as I could not wait we when to the allotments for a look, but as it is gated we were unable to see any that looked like it would be ours. The plots we did see all looked very well kept. For those that are interested we are in West Yorkshire.

Today the sun has it's hat on, we have a south facing window in the living room and it is 18 degrees inside, with no heating on! the birds are tweeting, so better go and feed them (I buy wild bird seed for them) and can see them for my window. Washing is hung put, it feels like spring is in the air.

Hope it is good for you all today, wherever you are
