Hi all,

I've just joined the site although I've been reading the forums for months. I am starting my first full year on my allotment, so mostly still digging up things I prefer not to grow (weeds and rather assertive ornamental grasses, for the most part) and starting somewhat disgruntled looking seedlings under a skylight in the house. I'm hoping to get some fruits, vegetables, and flowers growing on the plot this year. The plot is about 1/3 to 1/2 a full plot.

Thanks, everyone. My allotment neighbors have been very helpful with advice on what grows well in our soil (clay, the better to make slippy mud patches in winter with). But I expect I'll ask my more embarrassing questions around here
