Did you get a spade out?

If you have not notified the association you might want to dig a few survey holes

Being an engineer, I'd decide where to sample the soil, go to the plot and check.

You'll be surprised what is lurking under the divots

If going for the dig method, it is often easier to dig turf that a patch with plastic, carpet, glass and that hand polyester rope / bailer twine.

      all best

I got the keys and started working in it. This is the starting point.

          After some work

I noticed all the grass in the pathways are over a thick layer of plastic, it is fully clear under the plastic. I started removing the top layer, which is like a carpet and keeping the plastic clear.

good luck! doesn't look too bad underneath. if you want to keep the plastic in place, I'd cover it with woodchip (if ypu have some) - uv light degrades the plastic, so it'll last longer and look nicer if covered

Which plant do you mean? That's a mixed bag of plants!
