Yay!!! Will be 10 weeks on Monday, so early days yet, but got to get planning!!

Not the best timing where the lottie is concerned though We're due on April 7th!! When everything needs sowing!!

Now decided to have the second plot rotivated, not sure I'll be wanting to dig it all over now...... just want to get the ground ready before I get big!!

Any tips or advice? or am I completely mad thinking of doing it with a bubs on the way

Was thinking on trying to concentrate on getting the ground ready from now really. There has been a massive pile of wood chippings left by the council workers next to my plot which I can use for paths maybe....

ooooh and oh got me some plastic to make a make shift greenhouse (makes sense in my head!! )

so it's going to be busy!! Still got over half a plot to dig over on the first!!

Well congratulations.

You'll be all done by next season so it'll be fine and do the digging before you bet huge!. But two plots! I also fear for your makeshift greenhouse. Is it UV resistant plastic and is the framework going to stand up to winter winds. Either buy a polytunnel or look in the paper and usually there are ads for free, or nearly, greenhouses if you dismantle them.

Hugest congratulations to you! It's a tricky one, figuring out the best time in the gardening year to have a baby; do you have the baby in spring, when everything needs sowing and pricking out but you have no time cos you're busy with baby or pooped anyway, or maybe summer, which means no time for planting out and it means you have to do all your pricking out (I'm thinking, standing for long periods of time) when you're big, or how about late summer/autumn, when everything needs harvesting and preserving? It's a puzzler! Anyway, looks like you're beyond making THAT decision!

As Madmax says, watch out for the poo, and no heavy lifting!

Many congratulations. Hope all the gardening (and the getting big) goes well for you. You should be back to yourself (tired but able to bend again) by the time gardening proper kicks in next year and the baby will do well with all the fresh air. Not sure about having 2 plots though!!

Congratulations Chrissie. Don't worry you don't need to wrap yourself up in cottonwool. Just take reasonable care and don't overtire yourself. Carry on with your normal life as far as possible, do whatever you feel comfortable with. When I had my first babe I was still riding pillion on a motorbike until my bump got too big for us to fit on the seat (around 7 and a half months).
