^That's really good going, Logunner. You must be really pleased and proud.
Lots of people will be interested to hear how you tackled the marestail. Was it just constant digging and weeding?
Your soil looks lovely. I'm positively jealous. I've just been weeding and my patch is mostly clay, so it's hard going.

Spray with ammonium sulphmate and washing up liquid. Then got on with tidying rubbish left by previous tenant.
Week 2
Spray with a mix of ammonium sulphamate, washing liquid and glyphosate 360. Bought fork, spade and other bits
Week 4
Raked whole area before repeating week 2 spray on what little was left. Spot sprayed throughout the week and following week.
Week 6 - 10
Started digging to double fork depth and removed any visible roots by hand, dried roots on path and drowned plenty as well. Took well over 10 rubble sacks of dead roots to skip.
Late sept / oct
Covered plot in layers of cardboard with horse manure over that.

Thanks for the encouragement.
Think this is my next project if the commitee agree to bend the rules until the end of the year, on 1 plot only. Not giving up my already planted 1/2 plot until I’ve harvested it.
3 tenants in under 12 months and none have stayed more than a couple of months. Has bindweed, but no marestail, so this is an easy one
