Hi all.
Last winter I made trenches in my raised beds for compost waste..( to grow beans on)
I've done this for a couple of years running. I finally covered it with cardboard topped with soil and covered with weed supressent. For the last couple of years when I've done this there hasn't been a scrap left when uncovered. Due .. I guess ,to a dry winter etc this has not been the case on uncovering my beds this May. Quite a lot of lumpy decaying veg and manyred worms and others remain making planting difficult. Would you plant through it or try to remove stuff? I certainly can't put seeds in as intended on one of the beds.
