Soil was like powder. I took it out and burned it. Put fresh soil in from another trench. This was 0ctober.

Whats rather annoying is, we have about 5 like that on our allotment site, but if you call the local council, they'll tell you that there's a 5 year waiting list.
Maybe tennants have just stopped coming down but continue to pay thier rent.

I'm not sure I could do that personally, I think if i gave mine up, I'd want someone new in, sooner rather than later. I'd hate to think all my hard work was returned to the wild.
