Hello,
I am a happy new owner of a full allotment plot!
As many people advised here I made a layout plan as a start which can be viewed here:
https://we.tl/t-ggQJEc17TX
The plot was neglected for a year and covered with deep-rooted perennial weeds.
After reading a few similar topics here I decided to strim everything down to ground level, rake it all and fork weeds out instead of using a tiller. The soil is quite workable so that helps a lot.
This year I would like to plant vegetables over the top half of the plot and work on the rest later in the year. The bottom triangle has a tree stump and is our waste area so it will stay like that for the time being.
Could you please give me some feedback on my layout? I tried to use companion planting and am aware of crop rotation.
Do you think my flat beds are too densely populated?
All advises are welcome of course
!
Thank you,
Jed
