Our rental year runs from October to October, though I have no idea why!!

I first got my plot in May one year, and it was free until the October of that year, when I started paying the rent.

    I came, I saw, I stuck around.

I got mine last May when I think the committee saw the size of the waiting list and thought they should do something about getting it down.

My plot hadn't been a plot before, just a bit of scrub land in front of the Committee shed and the "nature reserve" where the sump has been installed.

Other plots are re-let during the season when the "naughty letters" are sent out and absent tenants asked to leave. Can't remember when the actual year runs from/to now, but we had to pay our fees by the end of August.

Catch up with my daily doings at http://kaypeesplot.blogspot.com/ and http://kaypeeslottie.blogspot.com/ but wait a while cos these are well out of date ! Don't want to ditch them entirely cos I'll never remember the urls !

thank you all for taking part, the results make interesting reading and allthough sept /oct had the most poll votes it didn't have a majority so can not be gauranteed to get you a plot.

the time of year these peices of land seam to vary so much up and down the country but these seam to be the major changes in a year to make plots avalible.

1 the end of season where a person is giving up because it's to much work.

2 the financial year of your allotments

3 how fast the people in charge re-let the plots to new tenents

So the best way of getting a plot seams to be finding the above info and phoning the people in charge once a month to ask ( politily ) if any plots have come avalible.
