Jostaberry

I would like to grow a jostaberry on my plot. Have any of you grown one.?? If so how big do they get..I need to plan where to plant one depending on the size it can get.

Hi from a lottie holder in nearby Gosport.

My neighbour on the plot had josterberries. They made very large bushes like blackcurrants. The fruit is a cross between blackcurrants and a small gooseberry. They would need to be planted a good 6ft between.

Thanks Beryl. I might have to think about a 2nd plot soon. I have 5 rods at the moment which 4 years ago seemed loads..

I know what you mean. This lottie gardening takes over, there is never enough space to do all you want to. We started with 5 rods 15 years ago and thought it would be enough but after planting fruit trees and soft fruit we now have 25 rods.
