Vegetable Shows

Hi

I fancy going to a vegetable show this year and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good one.

Last year - in order of size - I went to the Malvern Autumn Show, the Canwell Show (nr Tamworth) and, of course, the Hill Allotment Society show.

If you want a local show, keep your eye out in the local paper - and for a big show near you, there's always the Royal Show at Stoneleigh.

They are all fabulous fun!

I'm thinking about booking tickets for Harrogate Spring Show, just wondering if it's best to go on the first day (to get first dabs on stuff)or the last day (in the hope that what's left is at reduced prices). What does anyone think?

Depends on length of show. If It's a three day Fri Sat Sun, I always try to go on first day as it tends to be quieter. I really love Malvern Spring show as It's always the first big show of the year. Not so much of a veg show though as It's to early in the season. A good day out though.
