    That could be right, but the main medicinal part of comfrey is the roots, which you can make ointments etc with. It has the action of causing cells to replicate, & used to be widely used internally (teas etc) to help 'knit-bones' as well as healing other things, but these days it's not advised to ingest because it can also cause cancer cells to replicate

      And in high doses comfrey can damage the liver.
