Twitch/Couch grass

Hello...Does anyone know if you can compost twitch/couch grass
roots or should I burn them? Ive been pulling them all day

Or you could drown them if you don't want a stinky smoky bonfire. Fill a water butt and drop them in. They rot down in a few weeks to a (stinky) nutrient-rich plant feed/compost accelerator.

Whatever you do, don't put them on the compost heap.
