I'm tending to think that way myself Vegnut. It depends how tempting those rasps look. Off to see it soon.

Yay, hearty congratulations on your new plot Flum. I would also say take the water tank end - I can send you loads of raspberry plants and anyway, I owe you one

I'm tempted by the water tank end Scarey. Just been to see it - pictures attached! It looks fairly sheltered down there. My friends Ali who is sharing will give me some rasps - no problem there, but thanks for the offer - much appreciated! These are autumn rasps. I was speaking to an old bloke who was sorting out his bean frame, toppled in the high winds recently - he offered me rhubarb and tayberries but I already have them at home. They are a sociable lot and I think you could easily fill your plot with friendly offerings! (A bit like the number of seeds I've sown recently that have come from Grapevine swaps!) Hope to be able to offer a few things back to them by next Spring!

I can't really start until the end of the month when the subs are due - £14 for a full plot! The old chap said he suspects a couple of people will not renew - folks who've sown a few seeds last spring then never bothered to come and harvest. So, greedy begger that I am - I'm now hoping for a full one!

Love from Flum (whose cheeks are now aching from industrial grade smiling! )

I think I'll go for the end near the tank - the one backing on to the church. That's more sheltered. Still hoping for the whole thing if some more peeps give up their plots. Greedy Flum!

                    That looks reet gradely Flum
Not being greedy though, realistic! So many of us have 1 plot, but could fill 3 without blinking!

What a lovely site! Fingers crossed you get an even bigger plot
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom

I've come to take you home."

It looks like a lovely plot! Lucky you - and good luck on getting the whole thing (that's definitely not greedy for someone who actually already grows and wants more space)..
