    hello

    I hope someone can help...
i planted some onions on the allotment a few weeks ago and all the green shoots have been eaten the bulbs have not been touched. think it may be mice. i have covered the onions with netting, but was wondering if the onion would regrow or should i give them up for a loss cause..

I can't help you with any advice MF, but I do sympathise with you. I lost a few to the birds, even though they were covered in net, but you seem to have lost alot.

    Good luck!

Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn't be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn't know that so it goes on flying anyway.

Are you sure mice and not slugs?Slugs ate the tops of some of my onions 2years ago. There was still little bit of green on them and they did resprout, but the onions were smaller and they didn't keep as well, but still had reasonable crop.

Yes I've had to give in and resort to those' little blue sweeties' unfortunatly!!!Well, your hollowed out onions definatley wont grow, but any with green left on worth giving a go.
