Can anyone help? This is the second year i have tried to grow brassicas from seed. I have sown the seed individually in paper pots, and they all germinated well. Since then they have developed papery patches on the leaves, which have subsequently withered away. Each plant still has a few healthy leaves on them.

Does anyone know what this could be? Are they safe to plant out onto the plot? Am i too late to start sowing seed again????

    Thanks

The first question is where are you trying to grow them they like sunlight and what sort of compost/soil are you using all factors in the growing of seedlings tell us that and we may have the answer jacob

I have been thinking whilst scoffing my baked beans on toast have you watered the on the leaves because that will burn them first of all the patches turn white and go like paper .
If this what has happened there is your answer if not i will have to have some more beans jacob

I just used multipurpose compost, and they have been on the windowsill in the conservatory, i did leave them out in some rather wet and windy weather for a bit, do you think that could have caused the problem?

Could be that they are to close to window and have been burnt through glass it works like a magnify a lot with the sun blazing through water the compost and not the leaves good luck jacob
