problems with peas

Hi all
As we are very new to growing crops I am a little worried about my peas. some are growing well and we have had a few great meals off them but a few of the plants have turned yellow and died off even with pods formed I am always worried that I have done something wrong can anyone shed any light on it for me?

that's a bit odd... sounds like a pest might have been nibbling at the stems? slugs maybe? or mice? alternatively they might have escaped the watering if they're under a "rain shadow" - other plants, fences, compost bins, hedges all cast rain shadows and can prevent plants near them from getting any water.
