does anybody know how to plait onions for storage purposes i've been told this is the best way to allow the air to circulate round them

I did this last year using string.Basically use a piece of sring as one of the plaits along with the dried tops.The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested,when you take,some knocks,some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

Dead simple! I just hang up a single string and tie the first onion to the bottom. From then on as you add an onion just wrap the dried out stem once around the string and keep it so the weight of the onion is on top of the stem. Keep adding until you have the length of stringed onions you want!

oh, i've got best ones, ones with a couple of holes in for that worn look, and then theres the too big ones, or the ones i bought but didn't like ........ actually i have far too many fishnets ......... hopefully i'll get some onions to put in them lol

i do mine the same way as Snadger but i use two strings and interweave the onions with the string.good Diggin, Chuffa.
