compost etc

was just wondering how to approach our local council with a view to us holders getting our hand on compost.We are pretty hot on recylcing all waste here in n e lincs so the stuff they make from our bins must be going somewhere....some lotties get free stuff like compost and bark chippings but not ours it seems.Anyone know where and how to start the ball rolling.

try them, theres a number for the 'waste hotline' at the bottom .... if nothing else they should be able to tell you where to call next

I approached the local council who gave me the details of their green composter.
I contacted them and they said that I could have a 35 cubic yard skip load for free,just had to pay for delivery!!

Your lucky swampy, our council have a private company that will sell you a couple of tonn for £40 a time, what a cheek.
