winter veg

hello there can anybody help me quiet new to growing veg just wanted to no what i can grow over winter on my allotment got broccli in already

well assuming its outdoors veg you want and can plant now I would suggest, cabbage, brussels, garlic, broad beans, winter lettuce, you can force rhubarb, peas, kale, carrots, cauli, onions, spinach. Siome will need cloche protection and you need to check the variety for winter hardiness...oh and green manures for the land thats left bare!

I planted out my winter veg too early (had to: moved house), so I'm cropping my spring cabbages & curly kale right now.

This is also my first winter on my allotment I'm also open to suggestions on what to grow. I would like to grow some potato's for christmas but I'm not finding it very easy to find any to buy.

If you are putting them in pots - buy supermarket spuds. Having said that I have just put 60 supermarket spuds into the ground!
After a small (and very unscientific) poll here, no-one has had any problems with them......

That's because it doesn't really work! You can have a go as an experiment though.
