I've been away for a couple of days (to see my mum), and came back to a message from my son that he couldn't get to the allotment to water the greenhouse.

So I popped round there before work this morning to find both gates padlocked.

I'm glad about the security, but had I wished to do some early morning gardening with wheelbarrow and heavy tools in tow I'd've been scuppered. As it is I just climbed over.

It was a lovely morning and a nice time to be there, very quiet .

All our plotholders are given a main gate key for which the pay a single £10 returnable fee!
