This article reminds me of, about three years ago, picking up a package of parsnips in our Local Tesco's and putting them right back when I read they came from Australia ~ they probably flew first-class.

A couple of weeks ago in Aldi Blackberry's £1 29 for 125 grams imported from ..............Belgium It works out at over £4 a pound.
In the same week I picked over 50lbs FREE!!

I've grown carnations this year from a packet of perpetuals I sowed last year. I now know which are the colours I like and also the growth habit I like. When I get a bit of time I may dig a few up and put them into the greenhouse to extend there flowering period!

If you look on that website Snadger there's loads of info to tell you how to root them.

I've just rescued 7 pots of pinks from the local garden centre they looked half dead in the 3" pots but they've been cleaned up an re-potted into 5" pots and look loads better, I only want to try and get them good enough to take some cuttings from and then they can retire to the garden.
