is it too late to start growing cabbages and sprouts? if not what are the best varieties to grow out doors?

Too late for sprouts.....yes.......cabbages (spring variety) probably!
If you go to your local garden centre though you should be able to pick up spring cabbage transplants,kale transplants and possibly PSB and cauli's (at a price)My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order

I just got some Hispi spring cabbage plantlets from the garden centre. £2.99 for 12 which is obv a lot more expensive than seed but I reckon that I'd be paying £1.50 each by the Spring, going on this years prices so its still worth doing, just need to remember to sow extra seed in time next year. And Hispi is my hens favourite cabbage.
