I grew Stemster this year, and although this is so far the only time I've grown it, I was very happy with it. I got just over 40kg from 16 plants, despite the hot, dry weather and the fact that I had to cut the plants down early (17th August) due to blight.

Here's atip for growing spuds that are free from slug damage at harvest, when you plant them my tip is add some slug pellets in the hole next to the seed potato. Then water the tuber and cover, the slug pellets will dissolve into the soil and kill the pests underground and won't pose a danger to your friendly Hedgehogs as the slugs die under the soil surface. Plus birds can't pick the slug pellets up either because they are not on the surface. The day that Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck ...
... is the day they make vacuum cleaners
