Hello,
I know on my allotment i can have a compost heap of pretty much any description or contents .... My question is, i keep chickens at home, they are on woodchips, i would like to take some (woodchips&poop) down to the allotment and compost them, but how long would it need to 'stand' and if the woodchips have not decomposed would there ba a problem in digging them into the ground.
We are allowed but not recomended to keep any livestock down there as they have in pervious years been pinched. However i'm considering to make a pen and take a couple of hens down with me while i'm about just to have a bit of a dig about (onsite fertiliser )
