  • Putting up a new shed

    Hi All

I just ordered a new shed an 8x6 billyoh tongue and groove shed.
First time I have put a shed up but I assume that it will be ok to put it on a flagstone base as long as I make sure they are level.

Once it is up I will move the stuff out of the other shed that is in a sorry state on a concrete base, then demolish it and put up my 6x4 pent metal shed thats been in the dining room for over a year on the concrete base, lukily the concrete base measures 7x5.

All I have to do then is put up the boxed greenhouse, clean the other 3 for spring and generally tidy up the plot.

    Cheers Chris

My shed is on a flagstone base, I've had it for three years now with no problems.
The company I bought it from also erected it.

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

So that's your leisure time sorted for the year then. Hope it all goes according to plan!! My son-in-law bought a shed from B & Q in their sale in autumn and got my OH to help him erect it. Son-in-law usually very good at anything like this but needed the extra muscle for moving it. When it was completed (very carefully, I know - I read out the instructions!!) the roof wasn't anywhere near big enough no matter which way they tried to put it on. Has done me a favour though because whenever they deem that I have done anything particularly daft I use it against them!! Good luck anyway.
