Oh dear Snadger...they did pick on you a bit last night didn't they???

To be honest, I would prefer to be in your situation where everyone gets on on the allotments to be happy enough for neighbours to be wandering through ( so long as no damage is done).
I think you are very lucky to have such a 'working' environment. Isn't this the sort of friendly attitude we would hope for in an ideal world??

Our plots are fenced off and are gated, so there is no problem for us, but there is a path along the top and botton ends for access ( and a good nosey at what others are up to!!)
I would be very annoyed though if someone were to wander through the plot( if it were open plan )and cause damage to the crops.

Dispite our differences I have to agree with you one the last Snadger,

I hope It wasn't coming across as a personal attack, It's just the blunt Yorkshire ancestry that come to the surface every now and again.

I took it all in good part and Yes Coventry is near hear but it's West Midlands not Gods county - Warwickshire

I Hope that the problem could be solved amicably - it may be as you said the previous people had a bit of an understanding & it's just become custom & practice to nip across the plot.

Still Water under the bridge etc.
To quote from SHakespeare .... well sort of

Number 1 Suspect, I won't walk on your plot as it seems Snadger won't mind if I walk all over his plot
But if someone walks on my feilds or the allotments they won't come out alive I can tell you
