I want to rearrange my aspargus bed so that I can add some new corms that I have ordered, is it possible to dig up and move the ones I have and replant them in a new position or is that not a good idea.

HiTony,
Not an easy a question that. In short, It depends how long they have been there. More chance of success with younger plants.
Yes, you can move them; but don't let them dry out and they will need to be left for a season to recover. You also need to know EXACTLY where you're 'crowns' are...(corms for gladioli etc)
If the bed is already worked out I'd start again, infact, if you can spare the space, i'd start again anyway.... grub up the old ones when the new are ready
or infill the old bed?

They should be fine, I moved allotments last year and moved my whole asparagus bed to the new plot and they are fine. Mine had been in for a year as well._____________
Cheers Chris
Beware Greeks bearing gifts, or have you already got a wooden horse?... hehe.
