Anyone else tried sowing there own collected potato seed yet?

Snadger, unless you selectively X'd and quarantined them I suppose there was always a chance you'd end up with a desiree....or very similar.

I might try saving seed from a ratte.

Desiree is a cross between Urgenta X Despesche.

Despesche is a cross between Duke of York X Imposant

Being that desiree is a mongrel with good varieties in it's heritage, (no other varieties of tattie were flowering at the same time nearby) its seed SHOULD give off another tasty mongrel ( which has turned out to be a red skin!)
