And use the chicken run to grow veggies the pigeons want!

Presumably also limited to two foot high.

But are there any rules that say you have to keep just chickens in your chicken house? Or could you keep your tools in it anyway & tell them - "It's not a shed - it's a Chicken house"? If they're not convinced you could always get some joke plastic chickens to put in there too - then it's definately a chicken house!

Getting the full rules & regs is a good idea.

If it's any consolation, we're not allowed sheds or greenhouses on my site either - the explanation was that if we put up sheds, the council would regard them as 'buildings' & charge the club extra Council Tax. I keep my tools in an old wardrobe, laid down on it's side. But I do have Shed Envy for those who can nip into their sheds & shelter from the rain or brew up a cuppa!
Many people have eaten in my kitchen & gone on to lead normal, healthy lives.

              Situation resolved
went to the site reps meeting about rule revision on tuesday evening and listened to two very uptight old farts arguing for 20 minutes about banning carpet and underlay and even weed control fabric.
Just before gnawing my own leg off to escape the subject of sheds was raised.
the council official (who likes allotments this year cos they're cool and trendy at the mo)said that it was ridiculous to ban sheds from the sites where they are currently prohibited as long as there is no covenant on the land.
in 10 mins I got permission for my shed (not bigger than 10' x 8')and was told I could errect it now although the rule change will not be posted until august.
As an aside at the first meeting in december we were all asked what we wanted on site.
the realists wanted security improvements, access improvements and secure storage.
The fantasy allotment site wanted a toilet block with 3 toilets, male female & disabled and a hot shower on their site (oh how we laughed!)
the budget was 50k over 36 sites.
this meeting we were informed that the council has aquired 2 "compost toilets" at a very reduced rate to evaluate.
When these were offered out to site reps they were obviously beneath the fantasy site, but not mine.
so now I am to have an on site khasi ,as I pointed out to the chairman,at least i'll have somewhere to sit out of the rain until I get the shed up.

The next question is "who's responsibility is the cleaning and emptying of the toilet"?

as i'm one of the possibly 5 people who will be using it ,as most of the other tenants back on to the site or don't visit more than once a decade, coupled with the fact i'm the site rep........................................Im guessing it's gonna be me
honestly though I may get a source of usable compost for my flower beds, after all as the philosophers say
