Is there anyone out there who can give me some ideas about building a small shed? I have worked out the cost using lap boarding and frame and with absolutely no waste except for the sawdust and find that I could buy 1 for the same price. How can I make a cheap shed that I can use to get out of the rain etc. without it costing more than £40?

I would prefer not to use the ubiquitous "old pallets".

      Hi Digger,

I looked at this as well & the only thin I can say is that the one I was planning to build would be a darn sight better than ay you could buy new for the money. The local free ads paper, corner shop or Freecycle/freebay are worth a look. If you can get a bigger on that needs some work on it that will be just as good as I made a 6x4 shed out of a rotten 8x6 for the cost of a new floor
