  • They are all growing!!

Hitched a lift to the allotment last night whilst "Grumpy Git"-- just registered did some work, and I couldn't believe how much everything had grown.
Sadly the weeds had also grown and I wanted to get out there and dig!
I am concerned about the rate of growth of the cabbages!! They are meant to be spring cabbages but already look well advanced!!
I am tempted to get down there to work but know I have to stay off my foot for another week at least Just hope the consultant hasn't seen me!!
    I need help!!!!
Why have I got one radish which resembles a parsnip in size and colour!!!

Know what you mean about the weeds. Sowed some grazing rye and within a couple of weeks it was swamped by chickweed and fat hen.

Re the radish - you haven't got a stray mooli seed have you? When you pull it up if it mild then it probably is.

Sorry I'd post a pic of one if I could work out how to do it. Not quite that technical yet.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a weed problem at the moment. Half my plot is knee hight with them and that was only because I went away for a week.
Has anyone got a control plan for Spinach. I have it coming up everywhere and cant keep a hold on it. I have been pulling it up roots included and using the leaves as baby spinach but I have had 5KG of the stuff now and I'm getting a bit bored. I wouldn't mind but I didn't plant it - it was the owner before me and he told me it keeps coming up every year (is this normal?)

Same here on the cabbage front and the dam weeds .The over winter
califlowers and sprouting brocali are really going well to . Surpose the
mild time we are having has something to do with it..Also christmas
spuds lots of growth and now in flower will have to straw and fleece
          them soon.
The force is strong in this one!
