I've tried to be random but I then panic and think how will I know if it's a weed or not so back to rows I've gone, done some random parsley and salad leaves but am concerned a tad..........

It does sound good, I have tried to aim for straight rows on my new allotment(all that space), they appear to bend( I blame the earth being curved), but the good thing is, as I mention to every one, I should get more plants out of a bent row!!

I try to have straight rows on the lottie but even if I get the line out it gets in the way when I'm sowing or planting so I chuck it out. Things come up almost straight in a slightly bent sort of way. Really annoys the guy on the next plot who does it all just as 'his dad used to do it' centuries ago. Still he thinks I'm mad for having raised beds so who cares?
