Just a quick question as to what is the best fertiliser to buy and because I'm late in starting do I just mix it in with the earth and then start sowing my seeds?

    Cheers

different plants need different foods. What are you growing?

(having said that, I sprinkle a bit of Blood Fish & Bone around if I remember)

K I'm thinking of dwarf beans (which I believe provides its own nitrogen?!?), hopefully parsnip, onions if i haven't missed the date, carrots, Squash, fennel and potatoes

But thats only if I have the space and plan correctly

Beans, parsnips & carrots don't need any feed at all.

Is it better to use an all round fertiliser? Any particular ones that are recommended?

*fingers crossed weather is ok this easter weekend*

You need to get your head round the needs of the vegetable.
            Leafy crops need Nitrogen
            Root crops need Phosphorus
            Fruiting crops need Potassium/Potash

have a go with the Search button, there are tons of threads on this topic.
