Growing callaloo

Hi all. For the last two seasons I've tried tto grow this but the seedlings get leggy befor it's warm enough to plant out. What am I doing wrong?

I am really impressed with your unusual veg. I just googled this and discovered it is jamaican spinach. Another thread for the grapevine came up here :

My next door neighbour grows this - it sets seed everywhere.

I'll ask him what he does!

Thanks guys you get two veg for the price of one as the root is called dasheen and I really want to give it a try
