Nice one. I hope you get one soon.

Did you ask other allotment holders if there was any regular trouble there? I imagine that there may be spasmodic trouble, but by and large it will probably be okay, otherwise many allotment holders would have chucked the towel in by now.

I'm new to my allotment - the other plot holders told me about vandalism [it's attached to in the local park]. They came in one corner that was not properly fenced and then lifted the locked steel double gates off their hinges and dumped them in the park [no I cannot see how, but they did].

The lack of gate really worried them - more than the few veg uprooted but the council put up a decent fence at the danger point and everyone seems much happier.

I'm luck my plot is well away from the gates/fenced area, although that makes me grumble every time I troop down there.

The scrapmen lifted the gates off one of the local allotments and weighed them in for scrap!

Our watering can was taken last summer. OH replaced it with a fluorescent pink one, it's strange, we can leave it in mid-plot and no-one touches it.

Some git went down the road outside the allotment and stole all the manhole covers and drain grills. Can you deleive it. We (the allotment holders) had to go out and put wooden covers over the holes....till the council could get there comeof the holes were 2ft square...some one could have broken their leg.
