  • Leek advice needed

Can any one advise us please? Might have to put leeks in same bed as we grew them last year. Will that be a problem?

You should try to rotate but have known people put them in the same bed for one more year with no problems

Round ere they grow the show leeks in the same bed 'trench' every year! Not a presonal devotee of monoculture but sometimes 'needs must'!
I must say that there is a lot of work done on the leek trenches each year, to include turning out all the soil adding compost and manure and all kind of secret formulae's before returning soil and basically building a poly tunnel over sets of three trenches!

Rotation is a good idea but it's not always easy and it's not set in stone. If your leeks have to go in the same ground two years running, then they have to go in the same ground two years running. I would however, try and plan it for next season that you rest this area from any of the allium family - onions, spring onions, shallots, leeks etc.
