The current enthusiasm for them will ease off soon.
I know I would enjoy it when I get there... I just dont have the motivation today. Still There is always tomorrow and I have my brassicas to get planted out.

i wish it would it would stop raining here as i havnt been down to my allotment for a while and i only got it about 6 weeks ago,i was lucky i waited for about 18mths then phoned up and was offered one when i went to look at it it was one right on the end by the carpark and it was just over grown grass and weeds the only problem was the strimmer it took me about an hour to get it started then it cut out after about 15 minutes then it took another half hour to start again in the end it took me about 8 hrs to cut it down, ive dug two patches so far in the onw ivw planted potatoes, and in the other ive planted cucumbers, lettuce, and tomatoes, but then ive been looking after my nan who fell down the stairs so i havnt been able to get down there then it just hasnt stopped raining so ive started stripping my hall, stairs and landing hopefully ill get down the allotment this week and give it a good go as im worried they will take it off me.
It hasn't rained at all here today and I'd planned on going to the lottie, but MIL may be visiting later so I have to spend the day cleaning the house instead :-( She probably won't even turn up!
Stuck at work in the sunshine, want to be on the allotment! Finish in an hour but the rain clouds are gathering....typical. Next day off is Saturday so can bet that it will rain then!!!
Grump, grump grump.......
Tried telling my boss that I needed time off for gardening but it didn't work....

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool Even a journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step!
Went down today and planted some cabbages. Rigged up a temporary net to keep cats and butterflies off. Need to get some bendy tube to do a proper job next weekend. Pulled some spuds for dinner, courgettes and a marrow, beetroot and lettuce. Beets are cooking now, looking forward to them very much.

Drop the secretary a quick email/phone call just to keep him/her in the picture. I'm sure your lottie won't be taken off you, but they might not think you are very keen unless you explain!
