I'm growing "baby bear" squash for the first time this year.Have one squash that has turned very orange,is very firm and appears to be thriving. How do you know when to pick it to use?
If the outer skin is hard, tap it, if it sound hollow, its ready, i've just been reading up on this tonight, because this season is the first time i've grow squash, but don't just take my word for it, there's more experienced squash growers on here than me, see if someone Say's the same.
