        before...

I just dug out some pix of my plot 2 years ago this week. Waist high docks, grasses. All the usual suspects: dock, couch, bindweed, thistles, brambles. And nowhere to pee!
(Sorry about the quality, bit fuzzy)

These were taken just 4 months later. I can't believe it myself

            Progress!

Well, we've had some half decent weather today, so I've got quite a bit done. I must say I'm feeling a whole lot better!

I've marked out the position of my first bed - with some free short stakes. I've put as much weed fabric as I could afford down (hopefully more next week) and, I've put down another 2½ bags of chippings and laid 3 rows of breeze blocks where my shed is to go. Which will be delivered on Friday!!! Hurray for my Dad, who has paid for ½ of it as an early birthday present!

I'll be quite happy to wee in a B&Q bucket, when I can do it behind a closed door!

Definately feeling more positive today, must just need to crack-on on my own - no whingeing kids or men....!!

I'm well impressed TwoSheds. You should be really proud of yourself.

That's a really good step in the right direction, SW - well done! That black weed prevention cover looks suspiciously like the packs that I've just bought to make paths with - Tesco, £2 for a black sheet 1.5m x 10m (6' by 30 odd foot for you oldies! )

It's pretty tough too - I spent forever cutting the sheet into 3 lots of 50cm strips yesterday!

Carry on the most excellent work - hope you don't ache too much tomorrow!

                  Ouch.... I paid £20 for 15m x 2m from LBS....
Unfortunately the Tesco in Skipton is tiny, and we don't have a Pound shop either, so that seemed quite cheap to me compared t the DIY shop price.
