    Grapes Lotties - Google Maps
You have to loose sight of the shore sometimes to cross new oceans

Well I found my lottie, Liza but lost it again and couldn't mark it - I suspect I don't have the right software for this! I think HeyWayne tried a similar exercise a year or so ago and found it didn't quite work.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Do you have a Google account at all? If you do, just sign into it, click the link in my post above, find your allotment site and plot, click Edit, right-click and add a placemarker, click done to save it.

If you don't have a Google account it only takes a second to sign up!

I give up. My Lottie is on the Humber Road in Coventry. Don't think anyone's near me but if you're passing there's tea and bacon butties in the hut on a Sat morning.
ps. I think that google map was done before we had our lottie.

To use it you have to have to be signed into your Google account. Once signed in, click the link and you will should see somehting like this. I've circled the Edit button for you.
Once you've clicked it the map will change to this and the menu is shown when you right-click on the map.

Updated the map with most of the posters on here that I could find.

Okay I've finally done it. Mines the one with the blue line round it There's two other markers which I can't get rid of. So ignore them.

Having the worst time with the map spinning across the screen - can't manage it! Drat.

Meadow Avenue Loughborough less than 5 minuets walk from my house.
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

I'll try to add it to the Google Map thing.

Have you noticed that you can use street view as well next to your lottie.

All very Big Brother but it lets you see your lottie from the road through the metal fencing.......

Sorted for you and you can even attach a picture of the plot if you have one hosted with flickr, picasa etc. This level of collaboration you can do with Google's apps is amazing.
For anyone joining the end of the thread the link to the map is here and on the first page.

Lazgaot - I think you are going to have to be a bit patient with me! I've signed in, opened up your map - navigated my way to my own lottie: how do I put a marker in? As soon as I get to my area, the edit function seems to disappear.
Ooh - now you've put a new map link in I think I did it- is it there?
