Hi all,
I haven't posted for a while as I hadn't been down to my allotment for a while either, apart from to fix my not so permanent shed roof!!
O/h had a bad motorbike accident back in October and things have been a bit mad since really, but yesterday we both went down to the allotment! Lloyd, my o/h was going to 'supervise' me digging my beds - I even took a chair down for him to sit in whilst 'supervising'! - but he said that he'd have a go at a bit of digging (he's had a shattered femur, is having knee problems and had spinal surgery before the accident!!) and it was amazing! It wasn't too painful at all, so he was well away! I did think he would suffer today, but he said it's not any more painful than it was before! So, I think digging is the answer!!!
Anyway, we got loads done - I now have three beds to plant up a bit later, plus the one I already have containng overwintering onions and garlic! Have two more to dig at some point!
Have decided what to plant and I have the seeds and today ordered some potatoes so I feel that my enthusiasm for the plot has returned! Yay!!!
We're off on hols in a week's time, so will look forward to lots of planting when we return - as long as it's not snowing!!
Sharon
