Hi finally got my emails sorted out and have been able to register. Have been reading the posts for a few months now - very entertaining!
I have had my lottie since end of April this year, was only on the list for a year so very surprised! We are sharing it with a friend, though they only using about a third of it as it is actually my allotment but they need land to grow veg too as we have all been growing veg in our small gardens at home for about 5/6 years. The allotment soil was very compacted due to a tractor being driven over it to do some maintenance at the back of it (thank you council) so the digging has been really hard going as its like digging through rock but we've over half the allotment dug over and planted now.
I have the help of a great hubby, 4year old and 12 year old daughters. Our 16 year old daughter has too great a social life to lend a hand-bless!!!! The great thing is that since our 4year old has been helping me grow things she has been eating them too! Last year she hated strawberries but now she has her own little patch she eagerly waits for them to turn red and eats them! Also beans she'll pick from the plant and eat them fresh! Its so satisfying growing food for my family.
Anyway I could talk for England! Well done if you read this far and look forward to bugging you all for lots of advice!
