Spent Mushroom Compost

Hi Grapes,
My Allotment have just had a delivery of spent mushroom compost and there selling it by the bag, my question is, is mushroom compost alright for all crops or are there some crops that don't grow in it?

It has a lot of lime in it so would be good for brassicas but not spuds. I can cause the skins to go scaly, scab. I had the chooks on the spud patch over winter and for the first time I have it, not that it affects the flavor. Must have been the lime in the droppings so this winter they will go on the brassica bed.
